About Us

Melody Dosch gave up a career in law to open The Artisan Cheese Gallery with her parents Fred and Kay Heinemann.

We prepare fresh Panini sandwiches that incorporate artisan cheeses.  Each sandwich is accompanied with a chocolate truffle made by in house chocolate maker Robert Spano.

What They Are Saying:

Zagat Survey

“Sure, this casual Studio City café and fromagerie sells slices of Gruyere, but the real draw are the cheesy creations of chef Sophia Villareal; her inexpensive panini-already being hailed as among the areas best—incorporate everything from English double Gloucester to a sheep’s milk Etorki.”

Citysearch

“Sun splashes in the plate glass windows of this charming, airy gourmet cheese store and sandwich shop.  Dozens of artisanal cheeses grace the butcher block counter, including rarer goat, sheep and cow products ranging from Europe to Tasmania, and exclusives from small American farms.”

Voice Of San Diego

“If you're in Los Angeles, Studio City to be exact, you'll find a terrific new cheese store on Ventura Boulevard at Laurel Canyon. Along with cheese, Artisan Cheese Gallery carries unusual condiments and makes sandwiches to go.”
